The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes. Scouting is also an outstanding way to spend quality time in beautiful, natural settings and to build skills and make memories that will last a lifetime.
Cub Scouts:
St. Paul’s Cub Scout Pack 61 offers an introduction to these values and opportunities for boys in grades K-5 by providing a fun, active program with opportunities to complete adventures on their way to earning the ranks of Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos, and the Arrow of Light (the highest honor in Cub Scouting). Boy Scouts:
St. Paul’s Boy Scout Troop 6100 continues these great traditions, offering an active, exciting, and boy-led scouting program for boys grades 5 through age 18. In St. Paul's Boy Scout program, boys learn life-long lessons and skills that will help them become ethical, moral, productive members of society. Scout Mass Recognition and Blessing
On Feb 5, Fr. Jim presided at the Scout Mass Recognition and Blessing. Nine Scouts received the Light of Christ Award, for their development of a personal relationship with Jesus. Older Scouts received the Parvuli Dei Award for their seeking to experience their faith at a great level with their family. Fr. Jim was presented with the rare St. George Award and medal, a national recogntion for his significant contributions to scouting in our local community. Presenting the medal was John Savage from the Great Lakes Scouting Region.
