Established in 1881 to encourage devotion to the Blessed Mother, today’s St. Paul Altar Society also provides service to many areas of parish life and the community.
The Altar Society is responsible for the care of the altar sanctuary including purchase and care of altar linens, flowers, priest and server vestments, and liturgical supplies. Ongoing social and spiritual activities include annual May Tea, bereavement programs, wedding anniversary mass celebrations, and Advent and Lent programs. A few of the many Society-supported ministries include a knitting and quilting group, which provides layette items for Pregnancy Aid outreach, and the Parish Prayer ministry. Donations to the Christmas and Easter flower funds, and contributions received at the Annual Tea and throughout the year fund our Mission and our Ministries.
