“The Church entrusts to
young people the task of proclaiming to the world the joy which springs
from having met Christ. Dear friends, allow yourselves
to be drawn to Christ; accept his invitation and follow him.”
+ Pope John Paul II
All high school youth are invited to become part of Spirit Youth
Ministry at St. Paul on the Lake. In Spirit, teens are encouraged to
discuss their faith, explore teen and family issues, and develop skills
and strengths for daily living. In Spirit, students from private,
public, and Catholic high schools join together to build a supportive
community grounded in Catholic Christian values. Meetings are held on
Sunday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the parish house.
In addition to meetings we offer weekly bible study, leadership
opportunities, bi-weekly service events, retreats, social activities,
service trips, conferences, and much more. These events are advertised
through e-mails, mailings, the Reporter, and teens themselves.
Jr. High school youth are invited to attend the bi-weekly meetings and
activities designed to give 6th – 8th graders a healthy, Catholic
environment in which they can flourish socially and spiritually. These
activities include: movie nights, service opportunities, Christmas
caroling, conferences, and more. These activities are advertised in the
school newsletters and mailings. All are welcome to join us, and bring a
friend!
