Intro to Sacred Scripture at St. Paul!

Learn the Bible, understand how Sacred Scripture truly supports Catholic doctrine and how to deepen your prayer life using the Word of God! Sacred Heart Major Seminary is offering a three-credit Introduction to Sacred Scripture course this coming winter on-site at St. Paul on the Lake. Taught by Anita Houghton, the course will be held Tuesday evenings from 6:30 – 9:30 pm from January 11 – April 26 in Room 101.

The course cost is $1115, which includes the registration fee. New students must apply online at www.shms.edu, submit official transcripts from previous academic work, and schedule a short phone interview with an admissions representative. January 14  FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT  "Facing the Giants" -- this is a movie EVERYONE will love.  We will have popcorn and drinks and the price is right - it is all FREE.

February 11   Patrick Gonyeau - Patrick is one of THE BEST musical performers in town.  He is a second year seminarian at Sacred Heart Major Seminary,  EVERYONE who has heard Patrick said they were moved by his talent and faith!!!

March 11  Tim Hogan - People BEGGED us to bring Tim back again after he spoke on marriage last year.  In 2011, Tim will teach us how to raise "perfect kids."  This discussion will benefit parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends.

April 22 "The Passion of the Christ"  This is our Third Anniversary of showing the Passion of the Christ.  We have found watching this movie REALLY helps us understand why Easter was so important and it helps us gain more gratitude for what Jesus endured for us.  Join us - this will bless your Easter.

May 13  Speaker To be announced - we are trying to get a very special speaker for our final FBS - more details later.
